Ann Kirkpatrick, LPC, Golden Opportunities

Ann brings a wealth of career and counseling experience to Golden Opportunities. She has been a career and personal counselor for several years and worked in several leadership roles in the career field. Work background includes the fields of placement, career development and career counseling at Brown University, Providence College, TVI Community College, UNM Career Services, U.S. Job Corps, and other sites. Prior to obtaining a masters degree in counseling, she was in the medical field working in medical research.

Ann has successfully helped people personally and in their careers. Diverse clientele includes all ages from disadvantaged youth to retired clients, two year and four year college students, and clients with disabilities. She is a licensed counselor (LPC), a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), a registered GCDF Instructor, trained Retirement Options Coach, trained mediator, and a licensed school counselor.

Ann has a training and presentation background as well. She has taught GCDF classes to UNM staff requiring two semesters of classroom time per graduating class; been a classroom teacher at TVI; presented several workshops at conferences; trained peer mentors; and presented many staff career development workshops to UNM employees. In addition to the above activities, Ann has participated in many volunteer and volunteer professional activities that benefit the community, often in leadership roles. She knows what it takes to succeed and to build a satisfying career.
